Shruti Anand is a first-year PhD student in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on DNA origami. She holds a BASc degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto. She completed her undergraduate thesis under the supervision of Dr. Leo Chou, developing surface-modified DNA nanostructures to target dendritic cells for cancer vaccine applications. Prior to that, she completed her co-op term at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, supervised by Dr. Yuhan Lee and Dr. Jeff Karp. She has also interned at Novo Nordisk.

When she isn’t delivering drugs to cells, she likes to go on long walks, read mystery novels, and play badminton.
